Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are between you and NoteTime Pty Ltd, ACN 664 281 056, ABN 61 664 281 056, based in New South Wales, Australia.

By using NoteTime, you agree to these terms. If you use NoteTime for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use NoteTime.
  • You must provide accurate account information.
  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping access secure.
  • You must tell us promptly about unauthorised account use.

3. The service

NoteTime helps you save notes, source links, article/page content, transcripts, highlights, chats, and AI-generated summaries or answers across the web app and browser extension.

We may add, change, limit, or remove features as the product evolves. We may also apply usage, storage, safety, and rate limits.

4. Your content

Your notes, prompts, files, and saved source material are your responsibility. You keep your rights in your content. You grant NoteTime the rights needed to host, process, display, search, export, and send your content to service providers so we can provide NoteTime.

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to save, upload, process, summarize, or share content. We are not responsible for third-party websites, videos, articles, pages, links, or source material you choose to save.

If you turn on link sharing for a note, you make that note available to anyone who has the link. Only share notes you have the right to share, and do not include content you need to keep confidential. You can stop sharing a note at any time by setting it back to private.

5. Browser extension

The extension may request access across websites so it can work where you use it. It reads page content only when you act to save or take a note, and is not designed to record your general browsing. You must only use the extension where your access and use is lawful and permitted.

You must not use NoteTime to bypass paywalls, access controls, technical protection measures, platform rules, or legal restrictions.

6. AI features

NoteTime uses third-party AI providers, including OpenAI. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

NoteTime is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or professional advice. Do not rely on NoteTime for high-risk decisions or regulated workflows without appropriate independent review.

If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian permits you to use NoteTime's AI features.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use NoteTime to:

  • break the law or infringe someone else's rights;
  • upload malware or interfere with NoteTime or other services;
  • abuse, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or attack our systems;
  • share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive;
  • misrepresent AI-generated output as verified fact; or
  • use NoteTime in a way that could expose us or others to legal risk.

If you believe content shared on NoteTime infringes your rights, is unlawful, or is harmful, tell us at support@notetime.ai or see our Copyright and content complaints page. We remove or disable access to content where appropriate or required, and may disable sharing links, suspend, or close accounts for repeat or serious breaches.

8. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans, trials, and subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Prices, plan limits, renewal dates, and billing periods are shown at checkout or in-product. Paid subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled before the next billing period.

You can cancel anytime through your account billing page. After cancellation, you keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

We generally do not provide refunds or prorated refunds for change-of-mind cancellations, except where required by law, or where there has been a billing error, duplicate charge, or material service issue. Nothing in these terms limits any non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Closing your account

You can close your account in Settings. Closing your account deletes or anonymises active app data, subject to backups, logs, billing records, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal retention requirements.

10. Our intellectual property

NoteTime, including the app, extension, design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of NoteTime. You may give feedback, and we may use it without restriction or payment to you.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

12. Warranties and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

To the extent allowed by law, NoteTime is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your particular purpose.

13. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or lost-profit damages, or for loss caused by third-party content, third-party services, AI output, user content, or your failure to keep account access secure.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for NoteTime in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD 100 if you have not paid us.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for NoteTime or others, fail to pay, or where required by law. You may stop using NoteTime at any time.

15. Changes

We may update these terms as NoteTime changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Courts in New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under local law.

17. Contact
